A graduate from the ENS Ulm, Etienne Peyrat holds an advanced teaching certificate in History, and is a PhD candidate in contemporary history at Sciences Po Paris. His doctoral research focuses on the Soviet Union’s southern border between 1920-1960 from a political, administrative, economic and migratory viewpoint. It addresses in particular the relations between Turkey, Iran and the USSR over the management of their shared border.
