Stéphanie Sauget is a historian who specialises in the 19th century. A former student of the ENS Fontenay-Saint-Cloud (now ENS Lyon), she holds the French “aggregation” and a doctorate in contemporary history. She currently teaches at the Lycée Léon Blum in Créteil (Val-de-Marne). Her dissertation was published in 2009 under the title À la recherche des pas perdus. Une histoire des gares au XIXe siècle (éditions Taillandier). She is currently working on a history of haunted houses in the 19th century.
