Thibaut de Saint Pol is an administrator at the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) and an Associated Researcher at the Sociological Observatory of Change (OSC), a research center attached to Sciences Po (the National Foundation of Political Science and the Institute of Political Studies in Paris). A graduate of the École normale supérieure (Paris), with a doctorate in sociology, he now teaches this discipline at Sciences Po and at the National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE). He is the author of a book devoted to the issue of appearance and weight, Corps désirable: Hommes et femmes face à leur poids (The Desirable Body: Men and Women Confronting their Weight), Presses universitaires de France, 2010.
