Jean-Marc Weller

Jean-Marc Weller is a sociologist and researcher at the CNRS (Latts, Université Paris Est Marne la Vallée). His research focuses on the policies
of “modernization” of public services and the evolution of forms of State intervention. Through ethnographic surveys (justice, agriculture, etc.), he is particularly interested in the work of field bureaucrats in charge of stating the law. He published “Comment décrire ce qu’on ne voit pas ? L’hésitation des juges de proximité au travail”, Sociologie du travail, n°3, vol. 53, 2011, p.349-368; and “Comment ranger son bureau ?
