Simeng Wang is a sociologist. A Permanent Research Fellow at The French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and faculty member at the CERMES3 (Research Centre, Medicine, Science, Health, Mental Health and Society), she is the coordinator of the research network on East and South-East Asian Migrations in France. She is the author of Illusions et souffrances. Les migrants chinois à Paris (Éditions rue d’Ulm, 2017) and she coedited Santé mentale et souffrance psychique. Un objet pour les sciences sociales (CNRS Éditions, 2018, with I. Coutant) and Chinese immigrants in Europe: image, identity and social participation (Walter de Gruyter GmbH, 2020, with Y. Liu). She is currently conducting a new empirical inquiry on Chinese migration in France in the face of Covid-19, in the context of the MigraChiCovid Project, funded by the French National Research Agency.
