Ulrike Stein is an economist. Since March 2010, she has been head of the “Economic Policy Advice and Model Simulation” unit at the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK), in the Hans-Boeckler Foundation, Düsseldorf. She holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Studies and Quantitative Economics from Maastricht University, Netherlands, and an MSc and PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK. The title of her PhD-thesis is “Essays on Non-wage Aspects of Work and Utility interdependence”. Her research focuses on income inequality and aspects of the labour market.
