An alumnus of the École normale supérieure and the École française de Rome, Fabrice Jesné is an Assistant Professor at the Nantes University. His doctoral research, which looked at the intellectual and cultural origins of Italian imperialism in the Balkans, is soon to be published by the École française de Rome. His current work at the CRHIA focuses on Italians in the Balkans and the Italian consulates in the Mediterranean in the 18th and 19th centuries.
