Guillaume Bridet is a Professor in Contemporary French Literature at the Université de Bourgogne, Dijon. His research first focused on early 20th century French avant-gardes and their relation to politics and knowledge discourses, and is now geared towards postcolonial studies. His latest publications include a study of Indian presence in French literary and intellectual life in the years 1910-1930, L’Événement indien de la littérature française (ELLUG, coll. Vers l’Orient). He also co-edited a recent issue of the journal Sociétés & Représentations on the works of Edward Said.
