Laurent Bègue Shankland



Laurent Bègue Shankland is Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Grenoble Alpes, where he directs the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Alpes (CNRS/UGA). A junior and then senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, he has been a visiting fellow at Stanford University (California) and Brock University (Ontario). His work focuses on the determinants of aggressive behaviour and its social regulation. The author of about a hundred scientific articles and books (including Psychology of Good and Evil, Oxford University Press, 2016), he has recently published Face aux animaux. Nos émotions, nos préjugés, nos ambivalences (Odile Jacob, 2022).
