Emil Archambault recently completed his PhD at the School of Government and International Affairs at the University of Durham, UK. In 2022, he will join the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada, as a SSHRC-MINDS Postdoctoral Fellow. His research addresses historical and conceptual developments in remote warfare, particularly the use of armed drones in war. He has also undertaken research on non-state actors’ use of drones for combat and symbolic propaganda.
