In his previous research, Laurent Dubois showed how the Caribbean revolutions implemented the ideals of 1789. He now calls for rethinking the history of France thanks to the incorporation of its extra-territorial dimensions : slavery, the Caribbean, the Altantic, the colonial empire and immigration.
